As development evolved on Daniel Island, its earliest residents, "Pioneers", came together in order to have their voices heard by the development company. The Daniel Island Neighborhood Association was formed as a part of the City of Charleston Neighborhood Council. DINA represents residents on all 4,000 acres of the island.
