Hello neighbors!! Thank you for taking time to get to know me and my qualifications to help lead our neighborhood association board. I am 52 years old and have lived on Daniel Island at 127 Bounty St. for 19 years with my wife Alisa (50) and two year old Weimaraner fur baby, Zoe. I hold a Finance degree from USC and work in executive and consulting roles in the franchising industry and own a small business, Cruise Control Driving School, which operates regionally including Daniel Island. Here is a link to my managerial credentials on Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jarrodkbrooks/ I am running for this role in hopes of continuing the tradition of promoting our way of life on Daniel Island. We are an involved, talented, and kindhearted community who is passionate about the subjects that affect us. DINA is one of the largest and most influential bodies of its kind and I take this weighty privilege to represent our community’s needs and opinions to heart. This role regularly interacts with neighborhood, city, county, and state-level stakeholders including our elected representatives, residents, educators, clubs, boards, businesses, interest groups, law enforcement, and other important influencers of our success. Our community faces approaching topics that will demand robust advocacy-development, roads, construction, safety, crime, bridge-building (literally and figuratively), and a new large-scale park on the adjoining SPA land among many other matters. I have existing relationships with our county councilman, county supervisor, state representative, state senator, and neighboring mayor ready to leverage for our benefit. My experience in leading companies and boards has prepared me well for facilitating consensus among our many shareholders of our progress as an award-winning community. At the risk of exerting platitudes, I want you to know that my leadership style seeks to listen, understand, and find actionable common ground among competing ideas. Extremes are rarely workable options unless they relate to transparency, integrity, or courage. Please contact me at 843-425-9736 or jarrodkbrooks@gmail.com if you’d like to have a personal conversation or relay individual reflections about our community.

Thank you for the opportunity to further volunteer with DINA should I be chosen for Treasurer in the upcoming election. I have developed an attached professional, volunteer and related educational biography for your further review. It contains more specific detail on the elements of my background and experience that would prepare me for this role. Additionally, it would demonstrate a longtime commitment to volunteerism, especially at the most local, community, level. In addition to the job experience presented, I would also note three decades of experience with spreadsheets, financial and administrative software and applications, and a high level of comfort in doing precisely the type of analysis required of the DINA Treasurer. I'm happy to discuss further and look forward to the election. Thank you!
