Daniel Island Neighborhood Association “DINA” is a volunteer organization formed by residents and sanctioned by the City of Charleston in 1998. DINA's mission is to preserve and enhance the quality of life on Daniel Island. DINA is the recognized voice of all residents of Daniel Island in advocating for and resolving issues needing the attention of the City of Charleston, Berkeley County and the State of South Carolina.

What We Do
Build Community
Host open meeting, partner on community events, bring people and organizations together
Increase Safety
Work with our first responders and legislators for improvements related to parking, road markings, signage, traffic calming and pedestrian safety
Improve Our Streets
Identify priorities for the County, City, and regionally, regarding road resurfacing, maintenance needs and other road, freeway and interchange related improvements
Track Development & Inform Residents
Follow, translate, inform and represent residents regarding development of Daniel Island and surrounding areas
Deliver an Orderly Transition to Resident Control
Facilitate an orderly transition of Daniel Island Town Association (DITA) and Daniel Island Park Association (DIPA) from a developer controlled board to a resident controlled board
